Overview

Mpower Solar is a rapidly growing NYC-based solar installer known for delivering high-quality solar systems with a focus on customer experience and operational excellence. With in-house teams for sales, design, installation, and maintenance, Mpower is expanding across the NYC metro area and beyond. We are now hiring a Senior Project Manager to join our leadership team at our Brooklyn headquarters.

In this role, you will oversee two critical teams that keep projects moving forward. The Project Management team is responsible for solar system design, engineering, interconnection, permitting, and coordinating with third-party vendors such as roofers and installers. The Account Management team handles homeowner communication, scheduling, and ensuring customers stay informed throughout the installation process.

 

You will work cross-functionally with field teams, sales, leadership, and external partners to drive project momentum, resolve roadblocks, and ensure each project progresses smoothly from sale to PTO. This is a strategic leadership role that requires strong operational oversight, team leadership, and the ability to continuously improve internal processes and execution.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Project Management team responsible for design, engineering, permitting, interconnection, and coordination with third-party vendors (e.g., roofers and installers)
  • Manage the Account Management team responsible for homeowner communication, scheduling, and keeping customers informed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead daily pipeline calls to track progress, resolve blockers, and ensure project momentum
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with field teams, sales, leadership, and operations to ensure projects move efficiently from sale to PTO
  • Monitor project timelines, enforce accountability, and implement process improvements to increase speed and quality
  • Review homeowner calls handled by the AM team to identify areas for improvement, provide coaching, and ensure messaging aligns with company standards
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across design, permitting, install, and inspection phases
  • Drive high standards for customer experience, ensuring timely, clear, and professional communication at every stage

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or operations, preferably in residential solar or construction
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of solar workflows, including permitting, design, interconnection, and installation
  • Experience coaching customer-facing teams and reviewing calls for quality and training
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with CRM and project management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Slack)
