We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a  Solar Electrician to join our technical field team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

  • Following all manufacturer guidelines, installing racking and railing equipment, inverters and other electrical equipment, solar modules, and any other mechanical or structural mounting systems for flush, tilt, and canopy PV arrays on both flat and pitched roofs
  • Completing the electrical wiring of solar arrays and BOS (balance of systems) equipment
  • Completing necessary electrical repairs on the main service panel to complete DOB inspections
  • Performing equipment commissioning, including web portal registration and optimizer creation
  • Leading and completing all roof and ground safety tasks and preparations prior to solar installation jobs including but not limited to creating and securing anchor and tether points
  • Ensuring all safety standards are met and continuously adhered to
  • Reading and understanding the Bill of Materials and ensuring the proper type and amount of materials are present prior to each job
  • Providing training to crew members on specific installation techniques using industry best practices
  • Traveling to customer locations across the New York City metropolitan area
  • Communicating effectively with customers and managing customer expectations
  • Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, such as foremen, project managers, and account managers
  • Taking pictures and documenting all work completed, uploading the data to the internal company database, and ensuring the utmost quality on each job
  • Being resourceful and solution-oriented to address and work through challenges
  • Utilizing internal resources such as HubSpot and Slack to communicate and provide updates

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Solar Electrical Installation
  • Strong understanding of solar system servicing, including maintenance, panel performance troubleshooting, and post-installation repairs.
  • Deep knowledge of safety regulations, installation best practices, and permitting requirements for solar installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability resolve on-site challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites as needed.
  • Bending pipe per system design and NEC code and regulation
  • Valid OSHA 10 Card 

 

Compensation:

  • $150.00 per work day or $8.00 per installed panel, whichever is the higher amount per day
