About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Specialist to oversee and manage all regulatory filings, contract creation and review, legal process management, HR-related legal support, and ensuring the company remains in full compliance with applicable laws and industry standards The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has a NY Law License, and excels at balancing multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, submit, and manage timely regulatory filings with state and federal agencies.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts, amendments, non-compete agreements, and correspondence.
  • Provide internal counsel and support for HR-related legal matters.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external counsel to handle litigation matters efficiently.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct legal research and provide proactive recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain meticulous and organized records of legal documentation and filings.
  • Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews, licensing, and permitting efforts.
  • Stay informed on evolving regulatory landscapes and advise on necessary actions.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD degree strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with general contract law, regulatory filings, and compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
